Dr. Sweha Patel, MD is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with over 17 years of clinical experience. She also has extensive experience working as a physician advisor for a large hospital system in South Florida and as a medical director for a national health plan.

Dr. Patel has extensive experience and knowledge in all aspects of utilization management, including level of care determinations, Peer to Peer calls, and denials and appeals management, just to name a few. One area Dr. Patel excels in is providing feedback to physicians when reviewing records in preparation for Peer-to-Peers, subscribing to the philosophy that ongoing physician education and training serves to alleviate, among others, insufficiencies in documentation that may have contributed to the level of care downgrade in the first place.

She has obtained her CHCQMPHYSADV certification through the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physician, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in Utilization Review. Dr. Patel is an active member of the American College of Physician Advisors.
